Today, we will be learning about functions. A function is usually symbolized by the term f(x). Although it may seem confusing when put into a equation - for example, f(x) = 2x+4 - the f(x) is usually able to be replaced with "y". Therefore the equation f(x) = 2x+4 is basically just y = 2x+4. Also, a very important fact, the "x" in f(x) is merely a placeholder for what is to be substituted into the equation.

In addition, if you graph a function on a graph, if it passes the vertical line test, that means it is indeed a function. The vertical line test is simply just drawing vertical lines across the graph and seeing whether or not the line drawn goes through one point. If it does go through one point then it is a function. However, if it passes through two or more points, it is not.

Also, x stands for the domain for the function while y is the range. X usually goes from left to right or right to left, and y usually goes from up to down or bottom to top.

Speaking of top... has anyone seen the top hat the Mad Hatter wears?

Hello, my fantastic guests, and welcome! 
Today I will be taking you on a journey through the lessons of this week.~

Starting off, we first learned about absolute values and how no matter what numbers you put into the absolute value, it will always emerge as a positive number. Therefore, if an equation of an absolute value equals to that of a negative number, it means there is no solution. 
In addition, an equation of an absolute value will be written in two different ways - there will be a positive and a negative equation.

Hmm..this has got me thinking... does absolute value not remind you a bit of our dear Tweedledee and Tweedledum? Imagine them as a positive and a negative number. When you place both of them within those absolute value brackets "|...|", they still come out with the same appearance, just as they both will come out positive! Since I've said this much, would you like to meet the two? Here they are -

Moving along...
Let us journey to our dear Absolem the Caterpillar since our next topic is about circles. 


In order to find the center and radius of a circle when given an equation, a simple method can be followed. By using the standard equation, (h,k) will be the center while "r" is the radius.
For example:
Similar to Absolem, the center and radius of the circles he releases are all able to be found if given an equation. His "O's" are quite long,  if I may say. After all, he does enjoy stressing his infamous "Whooooo...are...you?".
